Veterinarians

Dr. Glenn Meyers DVM
Dr. Meyers was born and raised on the family farm near Minton, Saskatchewan. Glenn grew up working on the farm along with his 5 brothers. From there he developed a passion for working with production animals and soon decided to follow a career in veterinary medicine. In 2001, he obtained his DVM from the Western College of Medicine in Saskatchewan. Upon graduation, he moved to Alberta to start his career as a veterinarian. He soon put down roots in Rocky Mountain House working at the Clearwater Veterinary Centre, where he met his wife Kari. In 2006 Glenn became a partner and is currently the sole owner of the clinic. His main areas of interest are large animal medicine, reproduction, and surgery.

Away from the clinic, Glenn enjoys playing hockey, playing in a band and spending time with his family which consists of 3 young boys.

Dr. Mike Price DVM
Mike has joined us from Calgary, Alberta. He has wanted to be a vet since he was just 6 years old, and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Very few careers have the variety, challenge, and depth that veterinary medicine offers. Dr. Price received his DVM from Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys the full variety and scope of mixed practice and has special interest in surgery- including orthopedics, medicine, preventive care and emergency care.

Dr. Price's family consists of his parents and brother who still reside in Calgary. He shares his home with two cats adopted through Rocky Organization for Animal Rescue (R.O.A.R): Percy is fun-loving, affectionate and loves to play fetch; Charlie loves nothing more than to spend time with people and other cats. Dr. Price's personal interest include piano, guitar, skiing, fly fishing, hiking, and camping. He also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Dr. Sarah Beukema DVM
Sarah grew up in Northern British Columbia and Northwestern Ontario and moved out to Alberta as soon as she could. She convinced her parents to have numerous critters large and small during her childhood which eventually led to her interest in veterinary medicine. After high school, she completed a 2 year diploma in Equine Production and Breeding at Olds College and 3 years of a BSc in Agriculture at U of A before earning her DVM from the University of Calgary.

Sarah has always had a love for the Rocky Mountain House area and a desire to work with a variety of animals. Her special interests include equine reproduction, dairy medicine, rabbits and small ruminant medicine.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys her many pets including rabbits, ducks, cats, horses and her growing beef herd (currently at 4) as well as visiting with friends and family, camping, road trips and helping out on the farm.

Dr. Sarah Haefliger DVM
Dr. Sarah grew up on a dairy farm outside of Lacombe. Her interest in science and animals led her to complete a BSc in immunology and infection at the University of Alberta. Following her degree, she spent a couple years working and travelling throughout Europe. She then completed her DVM degree at the University of Calgary in 2020. Upon graduation, she joined the team at Clearwater Veterinary Centre. Her special interests include small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and pathology.

Outside of work, she can be found running, hiking, snowboarding, visiting friends and family as well as travelling!

Dr. Charlie Wyatt-Swain DVM
Dr. Charlie grew up in Fort McMurray, Alberta and also spent time on the east coast in Labrador. She moved to Saskatoon to complete her Bachelor of Science in Animal Bioscience with a minor in Toxicology before completing her DVM at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.

Charlie loves all things great and small, including exotics and wildlife. She is also passionate about community outreach. Being Inuit-Métis from the NunatuKavut community makes Indigenous engagement extra meaningful to her, so much so that she has won multiple awards both national and international.

In her spare time, Charlie likes tending to her farm with her husband, their daughter, one dog named George, 27 hens, and a horse named Red.
